Weather Forecast Jazz Fest. The second weekend of the 2016 New Orleans Jazz Fest will start in much the same way the first weekend did last week.
With chances of rain threatening to dampen the party. That’s according to the most recent National Weather Service forecast, which puts rain chances at 40 percent for Thursday (April 28).

A marginal chance also exists for severe weather on Thursday, with damaging winds being the main potential threat.
The good news is that, while isolated to scattered thunderstorms will be possible each day through the weekend.
The festing masses should get a chance to dry out on Friday, which is expected to be sunny and warm. Similarly, Saturday brings only a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.
After that, though, rain chances return to “likely” for Sunday, with the possibility of strong storms.
