Michal Milczarek Trio is one of the most interesting young music groups on the polish jazz scene. The band creates instrumental music which is a combination of modern jazz, rock and electronic.

It is known as one of the fastest prospering groups in polish improvised music. The band is known for a very intense concert activity, and Trio performances are considered to be extremely spontaneous and presenting jazz in a decidedly rock perspective.

MM3 has performed at many prestigious festivals: International Ethno-Jazz Festival Flugery Lwowa (Ukraine), Jazz Bez Festival (Ukraine) Warszawa Singera Jewish Culture Festival, International Theater Festival Eye On Culture, Rzeszów Jazz Festival.

The band has won the competition “Jazz Phonographic Debut of the Year”. The band has already released two records: EP The Big Game (2012) and longplay Squirrels and Butterflies (2014).

“Squirrels and Butterflies”, the debut album of MM3 has been released in Autumn of 2014. The bandmhas been working on the CD for a year.

The band’s music refers heavily to jazz, which is the common link between the subsequent songs, though the compositions reflect the musician’s most recent inspirations as well.

The album is full of hip-hop, rock, contemporary fusion and electronic music influences, which present jazz music with a fresh sound and unique approach.

It was not only possible thanks to the arranging ideas of the musicians - the sound qualities were enhanced by the album’s producer, Envee, who is known as one of the best and most respected producers and DJ’s in Poland.

The “Squirrels and Butterflies” LP was recorded in Quality Studio in Warsaw and released by Akademia Rocka with the support of the Institute of Music and Dance “Jazz Phonographic Debut” program.
