Born in Manila, Philippines, Manny Cruz traveled on tour to Japan, Hong Kong, China and Bangkok, Thailand playing music with distinguished jazz musicians and in international shows.
He has studied arranging and composition, modern harmony, improvisation, arranging and orchestration. He holds a certificate from Berklee School of Music based in Boston, MA.

After seven years in Bangkok, Thailand, Manny moved to the USA and settled down in San Francisco.
He assembled his own big and small bands playing at dance events, private and corporate parties, wedding receptions, wedding anniversaries and music festivals.
The Manny Cruz Jazz ensemble can often be heard entertaining at events in well known hotels such as Hilton, Hyatt House, Marriot, Holiday Inn and in SF Airport Hilton Hotel’s Grand Ballroom .
Manny Cruz was invited to play Lead Alto Saxophone by David Hardiman, Jr, the Big Band Music Director for City College of San Francisco.
Manny played at the Diego Rivera Theater at City College of San Francisco in a live concert with the City College of San Francisco’s Jazz Big Band.
Manny also had the opportunity to write arrangements for City College of San Francisco’s Jazz Big Band.
