40 JAZZ QUARTET - AFRO FUNKY AND SOUL


Enrico Quaranta in 2012 moved for a time in New York in search of new good musical idea attended and performed in some areas of the big apple like the “SMOKE” a jazz club playing with other jazz musicians and acquires a new way of making music, expanding its musical horizons to a free style and patterns without joining it to his drumming unusual and unique.

Back in Italy, matured the idea to get involved with a new musical adventure consists of new music with the collaboration of talented musicians, well known in the international music scene.

40 JAZZ QUARTET

For the development of the project is the collaboration of well-known and good musicians in the international music scene as the special guest Jeremy Pelt.

Born so the group “40 JAZZ QUARTET” formed by Enrico Quaranta (Drums), Umberto Muselli (Sax), Andrea Rea (Piano), Francis Maiorino (Low)

Enrico Quaranta in 1989/92 comes to the band of Enzo Avitabile where he had the opportunity to further expand his musical horizons to genres such as: Afro music, Funky music and Soul music.

1990 Tour to ‘Foreign Enzo Avitabile, perform in Tunisia in’ amphitheatre of Carthage reaching a resounding success.

1994/97 he joined the band of Loredana Bertè with Luca Rustici, Gae Diodato and Pino Ciccarelli meanwhile also performs other live events with his own band “Soul River”

1998/2000 has worked to live the “Tawa” a Band Argentina.

2000 to 2003 he played with James Senese and in 2004 he collaborated with James Senese and Enzo Gragnaniello in the “Tribes and Passion” performing at various live.

In 2005 he participated in a live musical Enzo Gragnaniello, Audio 2 and Nello Daniele transmitted by Radio Italy and conducted by Daniele Battaglia.

In 1992 he was winner of the competition for saxophone held in Belgium in Dinant.
